Open Letter

  • My husband and I opened Mulberry Street in 2004, I manage 40 plus people. I have raised my sales every year since we opened. I manage a budget and save money for slow downs, I do all of my own Human resources. I have weekly meetings with my managers.
My parents moved our family to Manchester in 1964. I have lived in Manchester most of my life.
I watched the slow decline of Manchester in the late 70’s and early 80’s, and I am now watching the slow rebuilding of downtown.
I met my husband Bob at Cavey’s restaurant, in 1981. We were married in 1986. We have 3 children that went through the Manchester school system. After college they all came back to Manchester to live. My daughter Kate owns her own business, and rents space downtown.
I was Vice President of the Keeney Street School PTA and a member for almost 13 years.
I was also part of the Keeney Street school accreditation process.
Some of the work that I am the most proud of, are my fundraising efforts on behalf of non profits and Special projects, that I have been involved in for the past 20 years, through business, and personal efforts. I love anything to do with children, and people with special needs.
I love Manchester and think that I would be a great addition to the Board of Directors, if elected in November.
